ENRICO SERPELLONI
ENRICO SERPELLONI
I am a research scientist at the Centro Nazionale Terremoti (CNT) department of the Istituto Nazionale di Geofisica e Vulcanologia.
I spend my time trying to find what’s happening under the Earth’s surface along the Mediterranean plate boundaries. I use measurements from GPS data of the deformation of the Earth’s surface to infer the characteristics of the sub-surface processes and study the earthquake-cycle signals at different space and time scales.
I participate the development and analysis of the INGV Rete Integrata GPS Nazionale (RING) and I am involved in the realization and measurement of new local GPS networks to monitor active tectonic processes in Northern Italy.
I am managing the CNT-Bologna GPS Data Analysis Center based on the GAMIT/GLOBK software, where data from nearly 3000 continuous GPS stations over the Euro-Mediterranean and African regions are routinely archived and processed.
